At the first Digital Value Circle in Switzerland, mutmacher will debate the social responsibility of industry in a digital world.
Switzerland’s first Digital Value Circle takes place in Lucerne on September 14, 2017. The occasion is the annual “Swiss Charity Concert” at the Lucerne Culture and Congress Center (KKL). With the “Swiss Charity Concert”, A.T. Kearney business consultant, conductor and pianist Victor Emanuel von Monteton in 2011 inaugurated a new series of Swiss concerts to benefit charitable organizations. The “Swiss Charity Concert” supports “Save the Children”—the world’s largest independent children’s charity organization—and, therefore, educational programs for children in crisis and conflict regions around the globe. Also, last year saw the launch of the “Swiss Charity Award”, a prize for talented young musicians. This is used by mutmacher as a framework within which to think about their own responsibility for society. For mutmacher, Corporate Social Responsibility means not just going boldly forward and seizing the opportunities presented by a digital world, but also doing so in a sustainable and socially responsible manner. Topical examples demonstrate how, for an enterprise, the courage to embrace change need not be at odds with the demands of sustainability, but that both are indispensable requirements for long-term success in a digital world.
