The Digital Value Circle at the Hanover Trade Fair debated the issue “Courage to add value—growth with Connected Enterprise”.
Digitalization as a growth driver for value creation and competitiveness within the Connected Enterprise are the real promises behind Industry 4.0. The successful enterprises will be those that see this as an opportunity and have the courage to resolutely seize their options for action.
The Digital Value Circle “Courage to add value—growth with Connected Enterprise” on April 24, 2017 took place at the Hanover Trade Fair in cooperation with Microsoft. Microsoft and A.T. Kearney have set themselves the joint objective of helping their clients to grow with Connected Enterprises.
With Guido Jouret, PhD Chief Digital Officer of ABB Ltd., a pioneering thinker in this field was present at the event. Along with invited guests from industry, he discussed how the promise of the “Connected Enterprise” can be realized in day-to-day business—and what experience leading companies have already gathered on this journey.
An exclusive panel of participants raised key questions that, although they’ve been around for a long time, have not yet found definitive answers: How can data drive production? How do leading companies protect the Connected Enterprise? How are companies changing their business model toward connected products and services?
A reason for uncertainty is that the fast pace of innovation and digital transformation can pose an obstacle for established companies with outdated systems and processes. The Digital Value Circle at the Hanover Trade Fair clearly showed how the practical challenges of the New Economy can be addressed along with cutting-edge innovation and steady growth.
